Mohamed El Banna
Manager - Project Finance
Mohamed has 7 years of experience in corporate and project finance. He is responsible for financial modeling, market sounding, evaluating, structuring and negotiating project financing including multilateral insurances and possess a successful track record of financing renewable energy projects in the MENA region.
Since joining AMEA Power in 2016, Mohamed has managed the project financing and the successful closure of a 50 MW Wind power project and a 50 MW Solar PV project in Jordan. He is also a core member of the team currently developing a 2GW + ultra-super critical coal fired plant in Egypt with an investment worth USD 4 billion.
Mohamed has a Master’s degree in Finance from Regents University in London and holds a BA in Business Management from Middlesex University in London.

Vito Saluto
Head - QHSE
Vito has 15+ years of experience in the development, implementation and management of the Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Social and Environment (QHSE) Governance processes and strategies across the Renewable Energy Industry.
Vito leads the AMEA Power’s QHSE Department working closely with the investment, development and delivery teams and Partner Companies in identifying, assessing and managing ESG risks associated with the company portfolio projects and fostering the sustainable development of the company business, generating long-term value and creating a positive social impact in communities.
He has solid knowledge of segment Regulations, International HSE Standards (ILO, ISO, OSHA) and Development Financial Institution ESG Standards (including but not limited to IFC, EBRD, EDFI). In particular he’s fully familiar with the World Bank Group’s Industry-specific EHS Guidelines for the energy sector.
Prior to join AMEA Power, he has worked as QHSE Manager for well-known energy companies such as Alcazar Energy for 4 years and Martifer Solar (today’s Voltalia) for 7 years. His international work experience includes different countries across the Europe, Africa, Asia and Middle East.
Vito holds a Master-Degree in Civil-Engineering, a post-Master Degree in Environmental and Natural Resources and is International NEBOSH qualified.

Karim Safa
Engineer - Projects
Karim is a Mechanical Engineer specialized in the Oil and Energy Industry, with experience in various fields.
He started working in the Oilfield where he has undergone training with Stewarts & Stevenson in Houston, TX. He then started working as an On-site Engineer with Superior Oilfield Services Ltd in Abu Dhabi undergoing coiled tubing operations. Later on, he joined a start-up company SmartWatt Energy & Water Solutions as an intern, where he was composing project proposals and financial models for off-grid hybrid solar systems.
Karim has completed a BA in Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London, an MBA in Financial Management from Richmond the American International University in London, as well as an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from Kingston University London.

Pedro Neto
Senior Manager - Delivery and Execution
Pedro is brings to AMEA Power more than 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, first as a consultant and later as a developer in both wind and solar projects.
Pedro is part of the Delivery and Execution Team at AMEA Power, which is involved from the late development stages of the project, until COD.
Pedro joined AMEA Power following his role as Senior Project Engineer at a UAE-based developer, where he worked with the development and construction teams on a vast portfolio of solar and wind projects in Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia.
Prior to that, Pedro was working as a Senior Consultant for ARUP in South Africa, where he worked as Owners Engineer, Lenders Technical Advisor and Independent Engineer in both wind and solar projects, mainly in South Africa’s Renewables Energy Program (REIPPP). Pedro was part of the original team who started the Renewable Energy Team at Arup and participated in over 3 GW of projects.
Pedro holds a (BEng) in Environmental Engineering and is also a registered with PMI as a Project Manager Professional.

Nour Makhoul
Coordinator - Projects
Nour is a Project Coordinator in the Renewable Energy Industry (multi-million-dollar wind and solar projects). She is involved in the late development and construction stage of the project. Nour joined AMEA in Jan 2020 from Alcazar Energy with three years experience.
During her time at Alcazar, she was responsible of overlooking project’s activities during the construction stage. She also analysed costs, analysed contracts and ensured compliance, performed progress reporting and key performance indicators and participated in tending processes.
Nour holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Moravian College in the United States with cum laude honors. She is an Arabic and English speaker.

Sheryl Zhong
Manager - Finance
Sheryl is the Finance Manager at AMEA. She is responsible for regular financial reports, project costs analysis, group reconciliation and consolidation, annual budgeting/forecasting, and all the other accounting activities, such as AP/Capex, month-end and year-end closings.
Sheryl has built a broad range of sound experience with accounting management, project accounting and controlling, internal auditing, budget/forecasting, VAT taxation and Engineering. She has been working for different international industrial companies, in leading financial positions for 18 years (11 years in UAE and 7 years in NZ.)
In particular, Sheryl gained her solid knowledge of turnkey projects from a European company who set up a branch in JAFZA. As the 2nd in charge, she led the Finance, HR and Administration functions to support all turnkey projects across more than 100 countries.
Sheryl is a Chartered Accountant of New Zealand and Australia Institute as well as a Certified Internal Auditor of the USA. She graduated with a Master of Engineering (with Distinction) in China before receiving a Bachelor of Business Studies (First Class Honours) in New Zealand.

Barbro Ciakudia
Manager - Business Development and Corporate Social Responsibility
Barbro joined AMEA in 2018. She is a business development professional with more than 7 years of experience in Project Management and Project Origination in East, West, Central and Southern Africa.
Prior to joining AMEA Power, Barbro was VP of Business Development for Invest Africa and one of its founding members. Through this role, she worked very closely with private investors, family offices, private equity firms, legal firms, high level government officials and DFIs in identifying key investment opportunities, market entry strategies and bridging the gap between project holders and access to investments.
Barbro has worked with and advised several African governments in their drive to attract investments into various sectors. Furthermore, she also managed projects focused on financial inclusion within key government and private sector institutions.
Amongst other languages, she is fluent in English, French and Norwegian. She completed her MSc in Banking and Finance in London, and her Bilingual Bachelor in International Studies in Toronto.

Saurabh Mongia
Manager - Project Finance
Saurabh has 7 years of experience in corporate planning and financial modelling. He is responsible for evaluating projects, structuring, negotiating project financing, financial modelling and possess a successful track record of closing key corporate transactions with ACWA Power.
In the course of his career, Saurabh has worked on a number of projects, mainly in power and public transport. Saurabh joined AMEA in 2019. Prior to that, he was part of the Corporate Planning team at ACWA Power, where he was responsible to support financial due diligence and valuation for a sell side equity transaction with PIF (KSA’s main sovereign wealth fund) and providing financial modelling support for bond issuance of 814 USDm.
Saurabh graduated as a Computer Science Engineer and holds an MBA specializing in Finance from India. He has also been a member of CIMA (a London based Management Accounting body).

Rajesh Ramesh
Manager - Project Development/ Business Development
Rajesh Ramesh joined AMEA in 2019, with a focus on identifying, screening and developing power generation (conventional and renewable) opportunities in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He has 5 years’ experience ranging from consulting, technical research, policy advisory, Government liaison, business development and project management in the solar PV and wind energy sectors.
Prior to AMEA, Rajesh worked with Access Power and its strategic partner Total Eren from 2016 – 2019 in successfully developing and financially closing a 50 MW wind power project, a 100 MW and a 30 MW, solar PV projects in Kazakhstan. He was also involved in the early-to-late stage development and financing of about 280 MW of renewable energy projects in Africa and Asia and has originated multiple solar PV sites across the continents. His origination scope covered in-depth technical, financial, economic and project feasibility assessments in countries like Sudan, Bangladesh, Zambia, Kenya, Uzbekistan among several others. He also specializes in identifying and mitigating land acquisition challenges in emerging markets.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Anna University, India (2012) and a Masters in Electrical Engineering for Sustainable & Renewable Energy from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom (2015).

Ahmed Ben Romdhane
Regional Manager - North Africa
Ahmed joined AMEA in 2018 as Regional Manager for the North African Market. He is responsible for the project origination.
Before joining AMEA, Ahmed served as Vice President Business Development for Winch Energy and was focused on the off-grid business in West Africa and also worked for UPC North Africa Renewables and has been involved in wind projects Khalladi 120 MW in Tangiers, project Tarouma 150 MW in Laayoune and the hybrid wind/desalination project in Dakhla. He was asked in November 2016 to take the lead of North Africa and to focus on the development of the Tunisian portfolio of the production of renewable energy within the framework of the law 12-2015.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering from the IHEC Carthage University and Master degree from Louvain School of Management, Université Cathholique de Louvain (Belgium).

Imisi Osasona
Regional Manager - West Africa
Imisi joined AMEA as Regional Manager – West Africa, having previously worked on a large portfolio of Solar PV and Wind projects across MENA and sub-Saharan Africa.
His experience covers the project development value chain; from origination to financial close. At AMEA, he is focused on identifying and advancing development opportunities in Anglophone sub-Saharan Africa.
Imisi holds a Bachelors in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, and a Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering from the Heriot-Watt University.

Monikandan Arumaithangam
Head - Technical Thermal
Monikandan is the Head – Technical (Thermal) in AMEA Power and is responsible for the Technical (Thermal) projects in the company.
He has twenty-five years of experience in Power and Water Generation plants, covering project development, project execution, detailed engineering, plant commissioning, planning, operation & maintenance.
Monikandan joined AMEA Power in the year 2017 and prior to joining AMEA, he worked in Sembcorp Industries (a Singapore based leading power developer / Utility).
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and MBA in Operation Management from Universities in India.

Nick Daniil
Head - Technical Renewables
Nick joined AMEA Power in 2019 as Technical Head of the renewable energy division, focused on leading the operations at the whole project technical pipeline from Site Screening and Development to Construction and Operation.
He has over 9 years of industry experience in the wind and solar PV energy sectors in a broad range of fields as for instance in consulting, research & development, project development and asset management.
Prior to joining AMEA Power, Nick worked with Access Power originally as Wind Specialist, where he originated at least 4 GW of large scale wind power assets across Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe and Canada, and then as Head of Engineering, leading the Project Technical Department of the company, where he successfully developed a wind portfolio exceeding 700MW.
He holds a BEng degree in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering from Cardiff University, an MSc degree in Renewable Energy & Environmental Modelling from Dundee University and a double MSc degree in Wind Physics from DTU, Delft & Oldenburg Universities.

Abeer Elayyan

Arushi Chaturvedi
Project Finance - Analyst
Arushi is a recent graduate with an experience of 6 months working as an Accounts intern.
Before joining AMEA Power, she was working with NMC Specialty Hospital as a Finance intern where she assisted the finance team in data entries related to payables and receivables and furthermore processed e-claims related to the insurance. She also interned as a Sales assistant in GITEX and also worked as a student intern at The Indian High School.
She is currently a CFA level 1 candidate, and has an MA in Business and Finance (Hons) from Heriot Watt University. She also has high school Diploma from The Indian High School.

Bushra Alhendi
Project Development - Technical Associate
Bushra has 2 years of experience coordinating Renewable Energy projects in Jordan. She is responsible for coordinating project management activities, resources, equipment and information, breaking projects into doable actions and setting timeframes. Furthermore, assigning tasks to internal teams and assisting with schedule management, overseeing project procurement management, monitoring project progress and handling any issues that arise.
She acts as the point of contact and communicates project status to all participants and works with the Project Leader to eliminate blockers.
Apart from project coordination she carries out PV System Analysis and basic design of all the Solar projects evaluated by AMEA, and conducts technical due diligence on renewable projects.
Bushra joined AMEA Power in 2016.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sharjah, UAE.

Joel Musikingala
Project Development - Associate
Joel has in-depth knowledge and experience of projects in Africa and Central Asia.
As a qualified Electrical Engineer and Financial Analyst, as well as a bilingual speaker (French and English) with 4 years of experience in renewable energy development (Solar and Wind), Joel displays a well-rounded set of skills in technical, commercial assessment and project development lifecycle.
While demonstrating his most recent professional achievement at his prior role at Access Power, Joel was actively involved from the early development phase to financial close of 3 Solar PV projects (Kazakhstan and Uganda), with a total capacity of 181 MW and investment of more than 200 million USD.
Joel holds a Masters in Energy (Renewables) from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Mechanics of Project Finance from Middlesex University London

Mohammed Tabbakh
Associate - Wind
Mohammed has acquired one year and a half of experience in onshore wind resource assessment, wind data and quality control analysis, mast monitoring and design based on the IEC 61400-12-1 standard, and pre-construction energy yield assessment using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and wind turbine site suitability check.
He has extensive knowledge in Python programing language and data analysis libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Matplotlib, and other libraries, in which he has developed his own in-house data analysis and monitoring codes.
Mohammed has a Master’s in Renewable Energy from Carl Von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, a Wind Energy Specialization degree from the Technical University of Athens, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the American University in Dubai with Cum Laude honors.

Sultan Rasoul
Business Development - Associate
Sultan Rasoul is a Business Development Professional with experience in project origination, investor relation and raising capital in the Middle East and the US.
Prior to joining AMEA Power, Sultan worked within several different industries. He started working at Grasshopper.com, a tech start-up in Boston where he was focused on client retention. He then joined Medina Capital in Boston, where he worked within Investor Relations and Research. After that he joined HGX creative as an Account Executive where he managed and originated projects. He then joined the Jibrel Network, a block chain based financial services company where he worked in business development and raised capital before its ICO.
Sultan speaks French, Arabic and English and graduated from Northeastern University with a BSBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Venture Growth.
